When we pick a pen and write

Its like a light to brighten up the night

 

Stories fly up high

Reaching many overnight

 

Stories, which we need to hear

Stories far and near

 

Maybe the world will become better

If we all read together

 

A story is more than a few words

It is a key to discover new worlds

  Hello Everyone, I know its been a long time since I wrote a blog, today I am back with a new post about the book Matilda. This book is written by Roald Dahl, one of my favourite writer.  I have also read  'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' , 'Charlie and the great glass elevator'  written by the same author.  The book is about a little smart girl named Matilda who is completely ignored by her family.  The book narrates Matilda's desire to study and go to school and also her adventures at school.  Even before she was sent to school by her parents, she learnt reading by herself and read almost every book in the nearly library.  She was also able to manage all activities by herself. This book narrates how Matilda learns about her secret power and her abilities. Hello everyone nice to see you again.   You know I am a big fan of jellies.   I was wondering if there are any Indian jellies and for my surprise there are so many kinds of halwa which looks like jellies. In this blog I am writing about few Indian jellies.   Ash gourd Halwa (Dumroot Halwa/Kashi Halwa) Ashgourd halwa is a delicious halwa which looks and tastes like jelly. It is a preparation made from Ash gourd, sugar, ghee, cardamom and dry fruits. Though preparing it is a lengthy process, if done right, it tastes very good.   This is a very famous halwa which in prepared in many weddings and feasts.  It is also called as Kashi halwa or dumroot. I heard that it originated in udupi.  Here is the picture of the halwa which was made in our home last week.  Isn't it mouth watering? I enjoyed eating it as much as my parents enjoyed preparing it :)   In my next blog, see you with a different home made jelly... Bye for now.
